Learner Support Programme (Career and Entrepreneurship Development)

Support for learners is a key area that is lacking currently at the Rabasotho Combined School. In particular are inadequate facilities for Early Childhood Development in terms of basic requirements i.e. learning aids, mattresses for learners to rest on as well as mobile classroom essential. Due to the high school dropout rate and lack of support with career development and high potential learners accessing tertiary education; BLCF offers career and entrepreneurship development programme.

  • The career development programme provides learners’ with the tools and information needed to make the right career choices, share information on tertiary programmes as well as helping them to become future leaders through coaching and mentorship.
  • A specific focus of the programme is also aimed at supporting those learners from child headed households who are in need of financial support with school fees, school uniform, etc.
  • Youth Entrepreneurship and Life Skills Development support is a key element of supporting youth with innovative business ideas and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship in the communities in a bid to break the cycle of poverty.
